Responsibilities

Electrical Engineer II for Intelligrated Services, LLC (Frederick, MD)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as a key part of our project engineering team and take responsibility for the coordination and implementation of all electrical components associated with assigned system projects.
  • As project lead, the Electrical Engineer II is responsible for the timely execution, as well as the technical quality and functionality of the electrical design and implementation of assigned systems and subsystems and follows technical specifications and design guidelines.
  • Lead a team on project design and implementation.
  • Forecasting, managing project budgets, and tracking project deliverables.
  • Create electrical model drawings, electrical device layout drawings, e-stop drawings, network drawings, including schematic drawings by panel.
  • Conduct internal and external design reviews of Tilt Tray and Cross-belt sortation systems designs.
  • Developing buyout configuration and motor calculation worksheets.
  • Create single-line drawings.
  • Ordering control panels, electrical field devices, and electrical buyouts.
  • Developing electrical spare parts list and site readiness checklist.
  • Setting up electrical field bus networks.
  • Performing I/O checkout and commissioning.
  • Creating electrical punch list for installation.
  • Troubleshooting electrical product issues on site.
  • Provide as-built technical documentation.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with other engineering and implementation teams.
  • Mentor, less experienced engineers.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Qualified applicants must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field, and 1 year of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Full term of experience must include: knowledge of controls hardware; Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical; Collaborating with engineering functional teams; Evaluating and recommending technical solutions based on standard or accepted technical practices; and Programming knowledge.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.
  • Up to 50% domestic travel required. Employer will accept pre-Bachelor's experience.
