Position offers a starting salary range of $86,000 - $110,000 USDPay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA- Design school bus electrical systems by applying electrical engineering techniques and principals.
- Develop 3D models, installation drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials.
- Research state-of-the-art developments in the vehicle industry and apply the latest advances to develop low-cost alternatives to current production systems.
- Provide support for production, warranty reduction and field service corrective actions with reliable, serviceable, low-cost solutions.
- Foster strong internal relationships with Manufacturing, Field Service, Quality, Purchasing, and other departments.
- Interface with Test Group personnel to prototype new systems, perform development testing and apply test results to new designs.
- Ensure projects are cost-effective, functional, and friendly to down-stream departments, and compliant with all applicable regulations.
- Effectively communicate information to design teams and other departments.
Knowledge You Should Bring- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechatronics or automotive engineering or bachelor's in science from an ABET accredited university/college with 3+ years of related experience
- Prior automotive design and troubleshooting experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated teamwork skills, including cross-functional collaboration
- Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes & downstream impacts
- Experience with identifying and solving the root cause of complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks with the highest level of ethics while having a proven track record of developing strong working relationships with fellow employees

Exceptional Candidates Might Have - Experience with CAN communication network protocols
- Project management
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink
- Prior experience with 3D CAD software
- Prior experience with PLM software developing B.O.M
