SummaryThe Electrical Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating the electrical aspects of facility and infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all electrical components from design and installation to testing and commissioning are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and standards. The engineer works closely with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to define project requirements, develop schedules, and oversee progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical systems, excellent project coordination skills, and the ability to translate technical requirements into successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibility - Manage and coordinate the (mainly electrical) parts of all the projects.
- Lead electrical engineering design and documentation for new construction, renovations, and tenant improvement projects
- Responsible for the preparation and processing of the construction plans, identifying possible errors, having them repaired by the designer, compiling material and equipment requirements, submitting investment requirements, and technical monitoring.
- Compile the project plan and continuously monitor its development (schedule, costs, etc.).
- Oversee the requesting of quotes, conduct comparisons, and prepare final decisions on quotes.
- Accept any completed work after having any warranty repairs carried out.
- Support the Manager by searching for suppliers, documenting projects, and any paperwork needed.
- Follow up and coordinate on a daily basis with contractors.
- Maintain single-line diagrams, as-built drawings, and equipment maintenance records in CMMS
- Responsible for monitoring and documenting any work changes to documentation of the project.
- Accountable for enforcing EHS and security aspects of all projects assigned.
- Responsible for the development of all framework contracts (e.g. electrical equipment, generators, fire alarm systems).
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and all applicable local codes; coordinate AHJ permitting
- Must Have experience with 480 voltages (low voltage),
- Transformers installation on industrial buildings.
- Industrial building electrical installations of wiring and equipment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic Qualifications /EducationBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant fields
At least 3+ years of professional experience in a similar field.
