Full Job Description
We're looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our growing Commercial Division. In this role, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of a variety of commercial building projects, working closely with internal teams, clients, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders in a fast-paced, collaborative consulting environment. As a member of the Commercial team, you'll have opportunities to strengthen your technical expertise, manage portions of projects, build client relationships, and contribute to the development of junior team members. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and project leaders while continuing to grow your project management, communication, and consulting skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and taking increasing responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial building projects. We're looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering practical and innovative electrical design solutions for the built environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO: 3 Seasoned professional individual contributor. 3 Delivers technical designs for projects of varying complexity that could involve technical complexity, high project value and multiple trades. 3 Independently creates conceptual designs, design specifications and assesses constructability and does so on a regular basis. 3 Independently develops standards and reports and can sign off on them. 3 Assists in creating project plans, participates in project planning and project management meetings and provides improvement recommendations to ensure project deliverables and timelines are met. 3 Starts to peer review work of more junior engineers for conventional projects. 3 Completes own work within budgeted hours. 3 Ensures technical accuracy of deliverables. 3 Accountable for all designs through to construction completion. 3 Works independently in solving difficult and sometimes complex problems. 3 Other duties as required. WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 3 University degree in Electrical Engineering. 3 Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). 3 4+ years of electrical engineering consulting experience within the buildings industry. 3 Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of electrical systems for building projects. 3 Relevant industry and project experience considered an asset. 3 Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices. 3 Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. 3 Experience coordinating electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, structural, and other disciplines. 3 Strong technical, problem-solving, accuracy, and documentation skills. 3 Ability to manage project priorities, technical deliverables, and deadlines effectively. 3 Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams. 3 Forward-thinking and eager to learn, apply best practices, and contribute innovative technical solutions. 3 Strong interest in buildings, building systems, and the built environment. TOTAL REWARDS The expected salary for this role is between $85,000 to $115,000 annually. Base salaries are determined considering several factors such as skills and competencies, experience, education, and internal and external competitiveness.
