Full Job Description
ABOUT THE TEAM

The Hardware Platform Organization is Anduril's central hardware engineering org. We build the shared technologies, tools, and infrastructure that power hardware development across every Anduril division, from actuators and propulsion to batteries, avionics, rocket motors, and test operations. Our teams set engineering standards, run development manufacturing and test sites, and develop core technology products that ship across multiple product lines.
ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for Electrical Engineers to join our rapidly growing Hardware Platform organization, supporting defense hardware development across propulsion and weapons systems programs

Propulsion: Develop and test cutting edge electronics for propulsion system. We are looking for a self-starter with deep technical experience in defense or aerospace hardware development to apply these skills in propulsion flight controllers, power electronics, high-efficiency motor controllers, and electromagnetic actuators.

ESAD: Develop fuzing circuitry for missile systems, closely collaborate with vehicle development teams to design, document, and produce tailored fuzing systems and effectors. Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within the vehicle.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Contribute to full-cycle PCB design for high-reliability defense hardware - including schematic capture, component selection, layout (Altium preferred), bring-up, test, debug, and system integration - with guidance from senior engineers
  • Support the design and development of circuits for safety-critical aerospace and defense applications, including power electronics, motor/actuator drivers, digital control systems, fuzing circuitry, or vehicle interconnect - depending on program focus
  • Perform design analysis tasks including worst-case analysis (WCA), thermal analysis, DFMEA, and component derating under the direction of senior staff
  • Execute board bring-ups and support Design Verification Testing (DVT), qualification testing, and functional testing through ground and flight test
  • Develop system interconnect diagrams and support wire harness definition for integration within the vehicle
  • Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams across the development lifecycle
  • Participate in peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
  • Support root cause and failure analysis in response to ground test and field operations findings
  • Assist with vendor surveys and component evaluation to support sourcing decisions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent,
  • 2+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex PCB designs
  • Foundational understanding of analog, digital, and power electronics
  • Working proficiency with electronic CAD tools (Altium Designer strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation tools (LTSpice or equivalent)
  • Competence with standard lab test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, DMMs, and basic test automation
  • Familiarity with standard interfaces including CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, USB, and common MCU/CPU architectures
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or eligibility in process
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, UAS, missile, or maritime hardware development
  • Exposure to propulsion electronics, fuzing systems, or other safety-critical hardware
  • Experience designing for signal integrity or power integrity
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD standards or avionics design standards (DO-254, DO-160)
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for data analysis or system simulation
