This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Electrical Engineer for our Minneapolis, MN office. Be involved in projects with our Property & Buildings Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance for the design, development, and construction of building electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
  • Support electrical system design including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and related building systems.
  • Assist with research, concept development, and preparation of construction documents and specifications.
  • Generate accurate engineering reports and documentation related to materials, installations, and design specifications.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards for design, safety, and functionality.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze technical data to support design decisions and project execution.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and clients throughout project lifecycles.
  • Assist in reviewing third-party design documents and project plans.


Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant post-education experience in electrical engineering design, preferably within building systems or consulting environments.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit for building system design.
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, higher education, commercial, or science & technology projects.

Compensation:

Expected Salary: $82,80- $118,400

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
