Summary

Electrical Engineer will act as the overall technical person-in-charge of plant-wide high & low voltage power distribution, uninterruptible power supply, automatic control electrical systems and facility weak current systems. Coordinate electrical infrastructure construction of new projects, electrical safety compliance, fault troubleshooting and electrical technical renovation projects.

Job Duties
  • New project technical coordination: Review schemes and drawings of high & low voltage power distribution, FMCS (Facility Monitoring Control System) and integrated weak current cabling for new cleanrooms; supervise on-site construction, power-on commissioning, final acceptance and handover, and close all construction-related problems.
  • Plant-wide electrical system management: Manage full-range electrical facilities including high/low voltage switchgears, transformers, UPS systems, workshop process power distribution, lighting systems, PLC automatic controls, electrical control cabinets and full-plant cable tray routing.
  • Maintenance and compliance management: Formulate standards for daily inspection, quarterly maintenance and annual preventive verification of electrical equipment. Strictly implement electrical safety codes, plant-wide grounding & lightning protection, leakage protection and arc flash protection compliance requirements.
  • Fault handling & system renovation: Take the lead in troubleshooting plant-wide electrical faults, circuit hidden dangers and equipment electrical failures. Oversee electrical renovation projects including power distribution capacity expansion, electrical system upgrading and workshop power reconstruction.
  • Safety and team management: Guide maintenance teams to carry out standardized electrical operations, implement EHS electrical safety specifications, and formulate technical schemes for power cut, hot work and high-voltage operations to avoid electrical safety accidents such as electric shock, short circuit and unexpected power outage.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in industrial power distribution, semiconductor facility electrical operation
  • Skilled in reading single-line diagrams, electrical schematics and construction layout drawings; familiar with switchgear, UPS, and transformer.
  • Basic mastery of NEC, industrial electrical safety standards and grounding lightning protection specifications.
  • Over 4 years• experience in factory electrical engineering, power system troubleshooting and capital construction matching.
  • Proficiency in power distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and backup or emergency power systems.
  • Familiar with electrical standards including NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE and NETA testing specifications.
  • Practical experience with PLC, FMCS and industrial power monitoring systems.

Work Environment
  • Oncall support for 24/7 production; respond to power failure and electrical fault emergencies during off-hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Frequently enter Class 100/1000 cleanroom areas and mechanical equipment rooms for on-site technical investigation.
  • Regular work in high/low voltage electrical rooms, rooftop power equipment areas and cleanroom production floors.
  • Must wear insulated PPE when conducting high-voltage inspection, testing and maintenance work.
  • Comply with lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures and all site electrical safety management rules.


Location

This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
