Qualifications

  • A.A.S. or Technical Certification in Drafting Technology preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Preferred EPC experience with onsite assignments
  • Experience with low and medium voltage systems
  • Ability to perform field walk-downs and collaborate with engineering/construction teams
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive design packages for electrical systems
  • Design detailed electrical layouts and one-line diagrams
  • Create fully designed electrical systems for buildings
  • Implement instrumentation systems and field instrumentation designs
  • Produce block diagrams, loop sheets, and wiring diagrams
  • Utilize both 2D and 3D design tools effectively
  • Incorporate safety principles throughout the design process

Full Job Description
POSITION DETAILS:
  • Develop Detailed Design Packages
  • Develop and Design Electrical (primary function): Equipment Layouts, Electrical one-line diagrams, electrical systems, switchgears, relay protection, MCCs, VFDs, lighting, grounding, power distribution
  • Fully design electrical systems for buildings
  • Design of Instrumentation systems and field instrumentation
  • Develop block diagrams, loop sheets, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and conduit/cable routing drawings
  • Utilize 2D and 3D design tools
  • Understand and design with safety as a priority


QUALIFICATIONS:

NOTE: This an ONSITE position in Geismar, LA
  • A.A.S. preferred or Technical Certification in Drafting Technology
  • (7+) years' experience in Design, Electrical and Instrumentation
  • Technology Skills: AutoCAD, Navisworks, MS Office Suite, Proficient using Excel
  • EPC experience preferred including Onsite (In-Facility) assignments
  • Low and Medium Voltage knowledge and experience
  • Ability to perform field walk-down trips to engage with engineering/construction personnel
  • Able to life and carry up to (25) lbs.
  • Schedule may include extended hours and some weekend work
