Electrical Design Engineer, Test Equipment

Reporting To:
Manager Sr., SDG Engineering

Work Schedule:
Onsite - Buffalo, NY

As an Electrical Design Engineer, Test Equipment in our Space & Defense Group in East Aurora, NY or Arvada, CO you will be responsible for design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems that will be used to test the products of Moog, Inc.

This position is responsible for design and development of new electrical test equipment, assemblies, and/or processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. You will contribute to the design of test equipment to verify functional performance of products used on military, commercial, and space vehicles.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, Test Equipment, you will:
  • Operate as key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
  • Contribute to the development of new test equipment through consulting with internal customers.
  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
  • Integrate electronic components into higher level systems and test completed designs.
  • Prepare, support, and guide the work of Assembly and Test technicians supporting your development activities.
  • Contribute on work estimates for design and development efforts.
  • Maintain engineering records, changes made and effects of changes on performance.
  • Independently initiate and perform specialized research.
  • Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
  • Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
  • Shares values of "teamwork is a must" and thus good communication is key.

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 3 years of hands-on electrical design experience, preferably in test equipment, controls, or similar systems
  • Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

  • DOORS experience
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $85,000.00-$110,000.00 Annually
