Work Location & Travel ExpectationsThis role supports projects across the United States and requires a high level of travel based on business and project needs. Candidates may be based anywhere within the U.S.; however, the selected individual should be prepared for assignments at various project locations nationwide. Travel for this position may reach up to approximately
90%.
Project assignments generally last 10 to 17 months, depending on project duration and operational requirements. While assigned to a project away from home, eligible employees are provided per diem to assist with temporary living and travel-related expenses, in addition to a competitive hourly rate.
Position OverviewThe Electrical/Communications General Foreman is responsible for leading all field operations on a large-scale data center construction project in
Haskell, Texas. This role oversees multiple crews of up to 40 craft workers, ensuring communications infrastructure installations are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The General Foreman coordinates closely with project management, general contractors, client representatives, and other trades to maintain project workflow, resolve field issues, and ensure compliance with OSHA, site-specific safety requirements, and industry standards such as TIA-942 and BICSI. Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in structured cabling, fiber optic systems, pathway and raceway installation, rack build-outs, testing and documentation, along with a proven track record of successfully leading teams on large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical data center projects. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential to fostering a safety-first culture in a fast-paced construction environment.

- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate multiple crews of up to 40 craft workers
- Plan and manage daily work activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards
- Coordinate with general contractors, client representatives, project management, and other trades to maintain workflow and resolve field issues
- Read and interpret communications drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
- Oversee installation of structured cabling, fiber optic systems, pathway/raceway systems, and rack build-outs
- Ensure proper testing, certification, labeling, and documentation of communication infrastructure
- Monitor productivity, workmanship, and quality control throughout all phases of construction
- Foster a safety-first culture while maintaining high standards in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
Requirements- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical, low-voltage, or communications infrastructure construction
- At least 4-5 years of experience as a General Foreman or in a supervisory leadership role on large industrial, commercial, or data center projects
- Proven ability to successfully lead crews of up to 40 craft workers
- Experience with data centers, hyperscale, colocation, or other mission-critical facilities is strongly preferred
- Extensive knowledge of:
- Structured cabling systems
- Fiber optic backbone installation and testing
- Pathway and raceway systems
- Rack build-outs
- Testing, certification, labeling, and documentation
- Working knowledge of TIA-942 and BICSI standards
- Ability to read and interpret complex communications drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to safety; OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-driven construction environment.
- Candidates based in North Texas are preferred; those willing to mobilize long-term to Haskell, TX are encouraged to apply.
