Associate' s or Bachelor' s degree in drafting technology or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of electrical One-line diagrams, circuit diagrams, cable routing and knowledge of the NEC.

Substation physical layout and electrical clearances.

Ability to work in a team environment, and to coordinate the work of various engineering disciplines and contractors to complete an integrated project.

Must have mastered detailing skills and have demonstrated basic knowledge in design, calculations, and design systems.

Advanced understanding of design software such as: AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel to develop the design deliverables.

Advanced ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.

Routinely uses higher-level commands, time saving programs and routines.

Drafting on industrial projects that include one-line, three-line, schematic, and general arrangement drawings.

Drafter responsibilities include utilizing and following specific codes (NEC), reference material, CAD standards, and the ability to use application software effectively with a high level of detail and accuracy.

The ability to interpret engineers notes and sketches and create detailed working drawings will be necessary.

The successful candidate must also be able to multi-task and work under strict deadlines.
