The Electrical & Automation Engineer will support in the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical, automation, MES, and digital systems. Contribute to troubleshooting efforts and assist in the execution of projects within the electrical and automation engineering domain. This involves assisting in the development of technical documentation and specifications, participating in the procurement process, supporting programming tasks, and contributing to assembly and commissioning activities. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to offer technical expertise and training to operators and technicians, while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to contribute to the attainment of organizational objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop Engineering Skills (10%)
  • Enhance technical skills through ongoing learning and training programs.
  • Assist in creating technical training materials for personnel operating and maintaining E&A equipment.
  • Participate in competency assessments and identify areas for improvement.


Support Process Improvements (20%)
  • Gain a thorough understanding of production processes and provide support in identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to implement solutions that enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Contribute ideas to protect technological know-how and competitive advantage.


Assist in Operation and Maintenance (20%)
  • Support the implementation of maintenance strategies, tools, and methodologies at the site level.
  • Assist in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Learn to utilize digital technologies to drive reliability and process improvements.


Ensure Compliance and Documentation (5%)
  • Assist in ensuring E&A installations comply with safety, health, environment, and quality standards.
  • Support the maintenance of up-to-date documentation, including electrical drawings and automation documentation.
  • Learn to manage change processes for modifications involving E&A systems.


Contribute to Sustainability Efforts (10%)
  • Participate in factory sustainability objectives, including energy and water savings initiatives.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of results from improvement projects, both sustainability-related and others.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive sustainable practices within the organization.


Assist in Asset Management (5%)
  • Learn about the factory's asset portfolio and contribute to identifying end-of-life and replacement requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining awareness of asset conditions for capital planning purposes.
  • Support decision-making processes considering asset performance and cost competitiveness.


Support Industrialization Projects (30%)
  • Assist in the execution of capital investment projects involving the E&A area.
  • Follow corporate and market standards while working on technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered with expected quality, on time, and within budget.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor Degree - Preferred
  • Professional Engineer license (P.E.) is a plus
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP) is a plus


EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
  • Preference for work on a manufacturing facility in the Food and Beverages industry, or other Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems (low, medium and high voltage installations)
  • Knowledge of local electrical codes and standards
  • Knowledge of Instrumentation and Calibration process
  • Good knowledge of automation systems and equipment (HMI - Human-Machine Interface, PLC - Programmable Logic Controller, Industrial networks, etc.). Preference for Rockwell and Wonderware/Aveva systems.
  • Knowledge of any processing operations and technology.
  • Experience on participation in engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills

Salary: $85,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year

Bonus Eligibility: Yes

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
