DescriptionThis position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and working remote from home. Your work will have you perform the following types of studies:
- Relay setting calculations
- Power system calculations
- Arc flash calculations
- Cable ampacity calculations
- Transient analysis
- Harmonic analysis
- Renewable energy calculations
- Grounding and induction calculations
There is the potential for you to travel to client offices and project sites to provide on-site consultation.
QualificationsWe do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.Essential skills and experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (background in Power/Power Systems) and sufficient industry experience is considered in lieu of an advanced degree. Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience performing electrical analysis.
- Experience performing analysis of power systems using software such as: ETAP, SKM, PSCAD and EMTP-RV.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- Strong working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, etc.
- Successful completion of the Professional Engineering (PE) exam
Compensation Range$142,710.00 - $215,440.00
