Lane County is seeking an experienced election professional to serve as our next
Elections & Recording Manager. Reporting directly to the County Clerk, this leadership role oversees the daily operations of one of Oregon's largest county election and recording offices, serving more than
300,000 registered voters in a 100% vote-by-mail environment.
This is more than an operations role-it's an opportunity to help safeguard one of our community's most important public institutions while leading a talented team dedicated to exceptional public service.
As the Elections & Recording Manager, you will oversee the administration of all federal, state, and local elections while ensuring compliance with Oregon election law and maintaining the integrity, security, and transparency of every step of the election process. In addition, you will lead the County's Recording program, which maintains official public records and provides a variety of essential services to the public.
What You'll LeadYou will provide leadership for a wide range of statutory and public-facing services, including:
- Administration of all Federal, State, and local elections
- Maintenance of voter registration for more than 300,000 registered voters
- Recording, indexing, and preservation of official real property records
- Marriage licenses, domestic partnerships, and civil ceremonies
- Property Value Appeals Board administration
- County Archives program oversight
- Budget development and fiscal management
- Continuous process improvement and operational excellence
- Collaboration with elected officials, state agencies, community partners, and the public

About the DivisionLane County Elections is a division of the County Clerk's office and is charged with voter registration and administration of Federal, State, and Local elections within Lane County. The Elections team is committed to conducting Fair, Accessible, Secure, Transparent, Equitable, and Reliable (F.A.S.T.E.R.) Elections.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm. Overtime as needed to ensure election operations run smoothly.*This is a non-represented position* QUALIFICATIONSTraining Experience:- Nine years of education and/or experience in elections oversight, government recordkeeping, public or business administration, or similar, including three years of experience in a supervisory, management, or leadership role and two years of experience in elections oversight; or a combination sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
Licensing Requirements:- Oregon Driver's License;
- Professional licensure or certification related to the area assigned.

For eligible members of unions LCPOA, 626, Admin Pro, and AFSCME Physicians $1,700 for individual coverage and $3,400 for family coverage.
For eligible members of unions AFSCME General, AFSCME Nurses, FOPPO, PAA, and non-represented employees $1,600 for individual coverage and $3,200 for family coverage. Those who complete the requirements to receive the Live Well Credit by November 30, 2026, will receive an additional contribution of $400 individual or $800 family, funded in 2027.
These amounts are prorated based on date of hire.
