Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee development of innovative assessment products from research to implementation.
  • Contribute to complex plans vetted by Test Development leadership.
  • Present as a content specialist in TAC meetings and to senior leadership.
  • Manage client and stakeholder expectations, resolving requests promptly.
  • Identify and escalate departmental issues while providing solutions.
  • Collaborate across divisions as necessary.
  • Review content test development projects at a senior level when required.
  • Drive content and test development training and standard setting preparation.

Job Overview:

Join our Team! Cambium Assessment is a leader in statewide online assessments. We integratecutting-edgetechnology with contentexpertiseto develop standardized assessments for kindergarten through high school students. We are currently lookingtofillthe role ofSeniorContentAdvisor - ProductDevelopmentwithan innovativestar.The ideal candidate willbe a key member of the team, serving as a thought pioneer in the development of new and innovative approaches to all types and stages of assessment

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the development ofinnovative assessment products, including the research, design, development,and implementationof these development efforts.

  • Contributes to and executes a complex plan or solution that is vetted by Test Developmentleadership.

  • Presents in TAC meetings as a contentspecialist andmay present to senior leadership of the division and company.

  • Manages client andstakeholderexpectations effectively and ensures all client and collaborator requests are resolved in a thorough andtimelymanner.

  • Identifiesand escalates complex department-wide issues,seekingand offering solutions.

  • Works collaboratively across divisions, as needed.

  • Contributes to contenttestdevelopment across all projects as a senior-level reviewer, as needed.

  • Oversees and may drive client facing meetings, includingas the content specialist at standard settings, as well as facilitation ofcontent advisory, rubric validation,rangefinding, data review, and otherclient meetings,as needed.

  • DrivesContent and Test Developmenttraining, including preparationforstandardsetting.

  • Autonomously contributes to proposal work, as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, Educational Leadership, or related degree that reflects pedagogy and learning science knowledge (Masters degree preferred) and at least 8 years of experience developing content for large-scale summative assessments or equivalent relevant experience

  • Deep contentknowledge isrequired

  • Demonstrated experienceandfamiliaritywithinnovative assessment products, including the research, design, development, and implementation of development efforts, is highlypreferred.

  • Awarenessof earlychildhoodformativeproducts andexperience increatingdistrict-levelliteracyassessments isbeneficial.

  • At least 3 years of experience leading people, programs, projects, or strategic initiativesineducation, educational assessment, curriculum, or instructional development environments

  • Highly creative and innovativewith a deep understanding ofPrincipled Assessment Design,learning processes,andlearningprogressions.

  • Demonstrated experience contributing to Technical Advisory Committees (TAC) is preferred.

  • Highly comfortableinteracting with and delivering various presentations tosenior leadership across divisions andC-suite of the organization.

  • Proven knowledge and experience with the U.S. EducationSystemand Education Assessment isrequired.

  • Demonstrated and highly effective thought leadership.

  • Data-backed skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability toidentifyproblems and conceptualize solutions.

  • Highly flexible andadaptive,pivotingasneededto arrive ata solution.

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Highly skilled in collaboration, communication,and multi-tasking.

  • Ability to travel 1-10 times per year, including trips lasting 2-5 days
