The Site Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Leader is a key member of the site leadership team responsible for leading, developing, and sustaining a high-performing EHS culture and management system. This role ensures effective risk identification and reduction, seamless integration of EHS into operations, and alignment with global EHS strategy and standards.

The Site EHS Leader combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and influencing capabilities to drive sustainable EHS performance over time. This includes fostering a proactive safety culture and partnering with site leadership to embed EHS into business decision-making.

A critical component of this role is ownership of environmental compliance management, including the identification and maintenance of applicable regulatory requirements, permits, and reporting obligations. This role ensures robust systems are in place to monitor compliance, proactively manage environmental risks, and sustain adherence to legal and company standards across all operations.

The role also leads the implementation of environmental programs and ensures environmental considerations are integrated into day-to-day operations and site decision-making.

This role supports multiple nearby locations and requires regular travel between sites (approximately 30 minutes apart).

Accountabilities

1. EHS Leadership & Culture

• Lead the development of a strong, values-based EHS culture where safety, health, and environmental stewardship are core to all activities

• Partner with site leadership to align EHS priorities with business objectives and operational goals; Serve as a trusted advisor to site leadership on EHS matters and risk-based decision making

• Act as a change agent to embed EHS into organizational culture and processes; Champion integration of EHS into daily operations, management routines, and strategic planning

• Influence without authority, building strong relationships across functions to drive EHS ownership

2. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

• Establish and maintain systems to reduce risk exposure over time, with a strong emphasis on prevention

• Promote a continuous improvement mindset leveraging data, root cause analysis, and best practices

• Within the framework of the Veralto Enterprise System, develop, implement and drive adoption of EHS-related programs, tools, systems, and processes.

3. Compliance & Management Systems

• Ensure compliance with all applicable environment, health, and safety requirements and global company EHS standards, policies, and initiatives

• Maintain robust EHS management systems to monitor, measure, and sustain compliance

4. Environmental Sustainability

• Lead site-level environmental programs with a focus on waste reduction, water stewardship, and energy efficiency

• Ensure compliance with environmental requirements and proactive management of environmental risks

• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into operations and capital planning

• Monitor environmental performance metrics and implement improvement plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Health & Safety or related technical field (or equivalent experience)

• Significant experience in EHS within industrial, manufacturing, or operational environments

• Demonstrated experience managing EHS risks, compliance systems, and sustainability programs

• Proven ability to lead EHS initiatives in complex, dynamic environments

• Strong understanding of risk assessment, incident investigation, and continuous improvement methodologies
