Full Job Description
We are looking for an Employee Health & Safety Professional. This position will be based in Heber Springs, AR.

The EHS Professional leads Environment, Health & Safety for the manufacturing facility in Heber Springs, AR. This role drives injury and illness prevention, protects the environment, ensures regulatory compliance, manages risk, enhances emergency readiness, and advances Siemens' Zero Harm Culture. The EHS Professional oversees the site's EHS programs and management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, collaborates with site leadership and employees, and implements continuous improvement initiatives that support safe, sustainable manufacturing operations.

You'll make an impact by:

Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead the site's EHS Management System and align activities with Siemens SI EA policies, standards, and business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary EHS advisor to site leadership, providing guidance on compliance, risk mitigation, and best practices.
  • Champion and promote Zero Harm Culture tools (e.g., Walk & Talks, near-miss reporting, safety committees, recognition of safe behaviors).

Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state/local requirements; manage permits, inspections, reports, and recordkeeping.
  • Lead injury and near-miss investigations; identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage high-risk programs including LOTO, machine guarding, electrical safety, working at heights, confined space, industrial trucks, ergonomics, and contractor safety.
  • Support internal and external audits; ensure timely completion of corrective actions.

Training & Employee Engagement
  • Develop and maintain EHS training plans for new-hire orientation and ongoing regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver EHS training and maintain accurate training documentation and records.
  • Engage employees through safety committees, improvement initiatives, and ongoing communication that reinforces safe work practices.

Emergency Preparedness & Response
  • Lead emergency response planning and drills for the facility.
  • Coordinate with local emergency agencies as needed.
  • Manage workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.

Data, Reporting & Documentation
  • Track, analyze, and report leading and lagging indicators to site leadership and regional EHS.
  • Maintain and update EHS procedures, standards, and work instructions to ensure clear, accurate, and compliant documentation.
  • Maintain customer qualification information in required third-party safety systems to support access and compliance for customer-required audits.

Collaboration
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR, and other site stakeholders to strengthen EHS culture and performance.
  • Work closely with the SI EA EHS Manager for alignment and support.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive sitewide improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of EHS experience with focus on safety and environmental compliance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (ISO 18001/OHSAS 18001 experience beneficial).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Ability to assess hazards, evaluate risks, and implement effective controls.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing EHS outcomes.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with digital EHS platforms and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and interface with all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent.
  • Experience in electrical, heavy industrial, or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Strong ability to influence, negotiate, and build trust across organizational levels.

The pay range for this position is $66,973 - $114,811 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
