Full Job Description
This EHS Operator position reports to the EHS Manager of Siemens Electrification & Automation team in San Leandro and Livermore, CA, and supports cross-functional teams and EHS committees to improve site EHS performance and compliance.
This onsite role is based in San Leandro, CA. The East Bay offers an excellent quality of life with top-rated schools, a pleasant climate, and easy access to both mountains and the coast. You'll make a difference by:
• Advocate for a Zero Harm safety culture that protects the safety of Siemens' employees, subcontractors, and customers.
• Regularly assist with safety training for employees.
• Improve employee and management EHS awareness while helping to improve safe work standards and practices.
• Analyze and maintain EHS data and prepare regular EHS regulatory compliance reporting.
• Provide technical guidance to employees regarding environmental, health and safety related issues or concerns, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate and assist in audit activities including identification of EHS issues and implementation of corrective actions.
• Support EHS incident investigations, including tracking and record-keeping requirements.
• Collaborate with site EHS Manager who will provide direct support.
• Maintain knowledge with all respective regulations and standards in regional or local law.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) or more years' experience in a technical EHS role focusing on Safety and Environmental Compliance.
• Proven understanding of EPA and OSHA regulations and industry EHS standards.
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, and recommend controls for workplace hazards.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, union workforce, and leading the achievement of EHS targets and objectives.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
• Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks and work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• Strong writing capabilities, especially with writing clear, concise EHS procedures.
• Experience working with ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, and Document Management System Standards.
• OSHA 30 or CAL/OSHA 30 or equivalent.

The pay range for this position is $73,828 - $126,562 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
