About the role:

As the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, you will lead health and safety initiatives that ensure a safe workplace, uphold regulatory compliance, and support sustainable operations. In this role, you serve as the site EHS leader, champion the EHS management system, and play a key role in maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. You will report into the Head of EHS.

How you will contribute:

  • Lead and manage health & safety programs to protect employees, contractors, and the surrounding community
  • Drive EHS management system effectiveness and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, including setting program goals and targets
  • Oversee EHS audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance activities across the site
  • Identify and mitigate risks by maintaining the site EHS risk registry and implementing effective controls
  • Lead emergency preparedness and response while ensuring clear communication and documentation processes
  • Champion continuous improvement of EHS performance through data monitoring, systems, training, and cross-functional support


Skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, technical, or related EHS field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering)
  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years of EHS experience, preferably in a complex, high-risk environment
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred, or actively pursuing certification
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
  • Proficiency in health and safety regulations, including but not limited to: California Code of Regulations, Federal Code of Regulations, Department of Transportation, International Air Travel Association, California Environmental Protection Agency regulations, and local ordinances and laws
  • Comprehensive understanding of regionally emerging EHS legislation and experience of proactively responding to legislation changes.
  • Ability to identify EHS non-compliance and recommend or implement solutions

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$116,000.00 - $182,270.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
