Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health science, or similar degree.
• 5-10 years professional experience in occupational safety, environmental, or similar role(s).
• Preferred background in chemical or similar manufacturing.
• Certifications such as CSP or CIH and/or MS are preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and influence skills to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
• Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and EPA RMP regulations and reporting.
• Experience in fostering a world-class safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead site efforts in Environmental, Health & Safety, Ergonomics, and Emergency Response.
• Coach leadership on safe behaviors and improve safety culture.
• Manage all aspects of EHS training programs.
• Conduct key Risk Assessments including HIRA and JHA/JSA.
• Participate in safety walks focusing on behaviors and conditions.
• Ensure proper use of company EHS systems.
• Manage incident and accident investigations.
