Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health science, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in occupational safety or environmental roles.
• Preferred background in chemical or similar manufacturing.
• Certifications such as CSP or CIH and/or MS are preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations and reporting requirements.
• Experience in fostering a safety culture within an organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs at the Brighton, CO facility.
• Coach leadership on enhancing the safety culture and behaviors.
• Lead EHS training and manage related content.
• Conduct key risk assessments including HIRA and JHA/JSA.
• Engage in Safety walks to promote safety behaviors and condition awareness.
• Utilize company EHS systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for workplace injuries and near misses.
