Environmental Health & Safety Manager | Nox Metals | Ferndale, MIShiftHours: Monday - Friday, w/ability to work weekends as needed.
You will:- Design and implement the EHS program from the ground up, with support from People Operations as needed
- Train shift leads so the basics run without you, and lead new-hire and refresher training
- Run hazard assessments and incident investigations to closure
- Own OSHA/MIOSHA recordkeeping and permits, and keep the site audit-ready
- Manage PPE, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and forklift and crane safety
- Work with ops and software on engineering controls when safety issues trace back to process or equipment
You are:- Educated, with a bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Health & Safety, Health and Human Services, or a related field
- Experienced, with 7+ years in EHS in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- A builder, you have designed and implemented EHS programs, not just maintained them
- Comfortable on the floor, you can talk to an operator and write it up in a way that holds up later
- Firm, you hold the line with a shift lead who wants to skip a step
Nice to have:- Metals or CNC manufacturing background
- Experience with ITAR-controlled material
- OSHA 30, CSP or equivalent certification
- Comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter
This role is full time, in person at our Ferndale location.
