Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based, comprehensive breastfeeding education, counseling, and support services for mothers, babies, and families so that they may reach their breastfeeding goals.
Provide individual and group lactation support to mothers prenatally, during the hospital stay, and in the postpartum period including clinic visits, and via telemedicine
Develop and teach breastfeeding classes and workshops for healthcare providers, families, and the community
Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
Education Requirements:
Licensed APRN or PA with experience required
International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant required
