Job Description

Provide professional development and services, develop products, and participate in special project activities in the area of state and federal programs that support the ESC-2's core purpose and strategic goals.

Education Qualifications:
  1. A Bachelor's degree in education or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
  2. Valid Texas Teaching Certificate required

Experience:
  1. Experience developing and presenting professional development through multiple modes using varied media.
  2. Experience guiding and supporting curriculum and professional development needs

Special Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
  2. Broad-based knowledge of the state and federal education accountability system, EDGAR, ISAM, ESSA, audit processes, and Results Driven Accountability.
  3. Ability to interpret complex data, problem solve and provide high quality technical assistance to stakeholders.
  4. History of analyzing, planning, coordinating, and monitoring compliance with state and federal grant policies and procedures.
  5. Ability to provide stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to deliver effective instruction supporting the areas identified.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Assist in appropriate use of fiscal and facility resources to support program goals and activities
  2. Assists with effective operation of the center and pursues a common vision for the improvement of the center.
  3. Develops and participates in innovative practices and programs with the center, LEAs and other agencies.
  4. Observes ESC-2 policies, procedures, and professional practices.
  5. Participates in staff development activities, staff meetings and curriculum development activities as required or assigned.
  6. Performs related work as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Engages LEAs through multiple communication modes to provide an exemplary level of technical assistance and services to each district and charter as specified by any applicable federal grant that funds this position.
  2. Assists in planning and developing special project activities (e.g., grant proposals, interdepartmental services, and other customer-based projects)
  3. Develops services and products in area(s) of responsibility
  4. Provides assistance in activities related to compliance with state and federal laws, state policy and regulations, and adherence to ethical and legal standards
  5. Collaborates with stakeholders to develop, implement, and coordinate school improvement and systemic support efforts to improve student performance; includes participating as an active member of the Turnaround Team
  6. Provides leadership and technical expertise to assist LEAs in analyzing, interpreting, and documenting compliance for grant requirements; and develop and monitor timelines and goals to ensure LEAs meet all required submissions to TEA
  7. Provides support and assistance to develop the capacity of campus administrators in all areas of state and federal title programs; including developing and delivering trainings to central office administrators regarding the rules, policies, and procedures related to state/federal programs and grant requirements


Salary: From 68379.00
