Shift: Days - Need to flex to other shifts as neededThis role plays a critical function at the RLA (Resmed Calabasas) Facility. Our production employees are at the heart of everything that we do. The Education and Training Coordinator develops and supports the overall associate training.
The purpose of the Education & Training Leader is to deploy an effective, efficient, and integrated training system at the site; building the required associate capabilities and enabling competent performance to support the onboarding and training of new employees, as well as the development of existing ones.
Let's talk about Responsibilities- Develop the overall education and training program and strategies for the site
- Working closely with the site leadership team on training and coaching all employees
- Work closely with our People Team, including Talent Acquisition and our temporary Agencies updating the induction and training plans for newcomers
- Facilitate the role building production associate capability, assigning clear responsibilities and required skills; identify gaps to build training courses and curriculum.
- Create the factory skills matrix; ensuring this is kept up to date with the outputs of Associate validation.
- Develop standardized and robust training for all operational employees; building the appropriate training standards and validation procedures to eliminate factory losses.
- Ensure appropriate knowledge management methodologies are applied to maintain, share and update recorded knowledge within the site's information structure
- Facilitate the Training design and development methodology with support from the Subject Matter Experts (i.e. Operations, Safety, QF&S, etc.) in a way to drive standardization and simplification across the sites.
- Training & Coaching on all E&T processes, systems and tools.
- Provide leadership, objectives, feedback, and performance coaching to all production employees involved in site education and training programs, especially on the job trainers and expert trainers.
- Create and support framework to ensure successful onboarding for new employees according to standard.
- Provide administrative support as required
- Other admin tasks and other duties as assigned
Let's talk about Qualifications and ExperienceEducation & Professional Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in education, Human Resources, or a related field
OR
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in education in training, preferably in a business environment
- Background in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with instructional design theory and implementation
Preferred- Experience as an adult trainer
- Experience completing full training cycles (assess needs, plan, develop, monitor, and adjust)
- Bilingual Spanish / English
Knowledge / Experience- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to deal effectively with the uncertainty of change
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and work together with employees within all levels of the organization

- Excellent computer skills with experience in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
