Description
ALEX - Alternative Experts is seeking an Education Action Officer to provide senior-level advisory and program support for education and professional development initiatives within a federal environment. This role serves as a strategic liaison across stakeholders, supporting accreditation processes, policy development, and program execution. The position requires deep expertise in professional military education, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to advise senior leadership on complex education and policy matters.
Requirements
- Provide expert advisory support for education programs, accreditation processes, and policy development initiatives
- Support and manage accreditation and evaluation activities for professional education programs
- Develop, review, and coordinate policy documents, position papers, and senior-level correspondence
- Facilitate conferences, working groups, and executive-level meetings across multiple stakeholders
- Advise leadership on education program effectiveness, structure, and strategic improvements
- Coordinate and manage organizational workflows, including task tracking, reporting, and deliverables
- Support development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process improvements
- Engage with stakeholders across organizations to ensure alignment of program objectives and requirements
- Develop and deliver executive-level briefings and decision-support materials
- Communicate complex, technical, and policy-related information to senior military and civilian leadership
- Provide strategic insight and recommendations to improve education programs and policies
Require Experience:Candidates must demonstrate success in
seven (7) or more of the following areas:
- Expertise in professional education or accreditation processes
- Experience supporting education or training programs within large organizations
- Experience working with complex organizational structures and stakeholder environments
- Experience supporting or operating within staff-level environments (field grade or civilian equivalent)
- Experience with organizational structures, missions, and interrelationships within large organizations
- Experience supporting joint, combined, or multi-organizational environments
- Experience facilitating conferences, working groups, and project meetings
- Experience supporting senior leadership through advisory, coordination, and decision-support activities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly
- Experience analyzing policy, developing recommendations, and supporting position papers
- Experience managing workflows, tasking processes, and organizational coordination
- Experience developing and implementing processes and standard operating procedures
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:- Experience supporting federal or DoD education and training programs
- Familiarity with structured accreditation, evaluation, or policy development processes
- Experience supporting very senior leadership (e.g., executive-level stakeholders)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and coordination skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
Education: - Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- OR Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
