Responsibilities

  • Define and execute Karcher's strategic vision and business plan for Amazon and other marketplaces.
  • Set ambitious sales goals and regularly track progress toward these targets.
  • Develop pricing and promotional strategies to drive growth within pricing policies.
  • Enhance all marketplace operations, focusing on marketing and product listings.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to optimize product visibility through SEO and competitor analysis.
  • Oversee logistical operations to ensure seamless integration with all marketplace channels.
  • Build strong relationships with Amazon Vendor Managers and generate reports on marketplace performance.

Full Job Description
The salary range for this position is $92,000 - $135,000 including bonus opportunity

This is how you WOW:
  • Strategic Vision & Growth:
    • Define, set, and execute the strategic direction, vision, and business plan for Karcher's presence on Amazon and other key marketplaces.
    • Establish and deliver ambitious sales goals, providing regular, accurate forecast updates to monitor progress against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive pricing and promotional strategies that drive top-line growth while strictly adhering to company cross-channel pricing policies.
    • Proactively identify and capitalize on new product opportunities and emerging marketplace channels.
  • Marketplace Operations & Optimization:
    • Oversee and enhance all marketplace activities, including Amazon marketing, product listings, content optimization, and promotional execution.
    • Partner with Marketing and Content teams to optimize product listings for maximum visibility and search ranking, leveraging robust keyword research, competitor analysis, and rich media assets.
    • Develop an intimate understanding of each product category's top sellers, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities, leveraging this insight to gain a competitive advantage for Karcher products.
    • Align closely with the Marketing team to implement effective marketing campaigns within each category, developing business plans with clear growth goals and ROI analysis.
  • Logistics & Account Health:
    • Oversee and continuously improve logistical operations, including order fulfillment, demand planning, and the seamless integration of marketplace channels into Karcher's day-to-day operations.
    • Maintain a healthy account status by diligently tracking and improving all key operational metrics: on-hand inventory, sell-through rates, product reviews, chargebacks, and compliance violations.
    • Proactively identify and resolve platform-specific issues, addressing root causes to ensure smooth operations.
    • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of order flow, adapting swiftly to the constant evolution of Amazon and marketplace rules and requirements.
  • Relationship Management & Reporting:
    • Establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with Amazon and other Marketplace Vendor Managers and Merchants.
    • Generate comprehensive ad-hoc reports for upper management and cross-functional teams, providing insightful analysis of marketplace performance.
    • Stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends within Amazon and the broader e-commerce marketplace landscape.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Sales Operations, Forecasting, Planning, Sales, and IT, to achieve overarching channel growth objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business, Economics, Communications, or a related field; or 4+ years of directly relevant experience in marketing, sales, or successful management of Amazon and other e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong preference for candidates with Amazon Vendor Central (VC) experience; Seller Central experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in growing visibility and sales on online marketplaces, ideally with existing brands and products.
  • Deep understanding of the strategies required to win and drive significant sales growth across multiple e-commerce platforms simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven high business acumen, showcasing the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities in a fast-paced online retail environment.
  • Exceptional data analysis skills with a proven ability to derive meaningful, actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively with diverse teams including E-commerce, Marketing, IT, Sales Operations, and Customer Service.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record as a self-starter accustomed to leading projects with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
