Position Description

The Senior Estimator role requires a construction professional with demonstrated experience preparing detailed estimates for commercial projects of varying size and complexity. This is a full-time, salaried position based out of our corporate office in Dillsburg, PA, with projects located throughout Central Pennsylvania. This role is in-person and not eligible for remote work.

As a Senior Estimator , you will lead the development of accurate, competitive cost estimates, budgets, and bids for complex construction projects. You will be supported by a capable team of junior estimators and corporate staff, ensuring you have the resources needed to succeed.

Position Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bid Management: Lead the bidding process, including detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and subcontractor solicitation.
  • Analysis & Strategy: Assess constructability, identify risks, and perform value engineering to develop cost-effective alternatives.
  • Cost Control: Maintain historical cost data, track actual vs. estimated costs, and update unit pricing.
  • Client and Subcontractor Relations: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior estimators and support their professional development.


Experience / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator, project manager, or superintendent.
  • Prior experience as a Senior Estimator preferred but not required.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • Strong mathematical ability and critical thinking skills
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to working as part of a family-oriented team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Highly capable of using Excel and the Microsoft family of programs.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and programs

  • Familiar with Procore preferred but not required
