The Role:
As an MCAD/ECAD Librarian, you will participate in the definition and creation of component electrical symbols, PCB Footprints and 3D mechanical models. You will contribute in all phases of the product development process including activities that involve maintenance of the component libraries.
Key job responsibilities
You must bring a combination of industry knowledge, strong cross team functional experience, and demonstrable process experience to this position. In this role, you will:
- Manage the necessary part parametric data in CIS/CIP databases.
- Create or update schematic and PCB library symbols using Cadence Design Tools.
- Create or update component 3D mechanical models using PTC Creo.
- Modify component symbols via engineering requests or ECO changes.
- Assist engineering in process flow development or improvements.
The following are not required but are a plus:
- Experienced with many types of components such as SoC's, logic gates, memories, PMIC's, MOSFET's, diodes, resistors, inductors, capacitors, crystals, and connectors.
- Experienced with ROHS/WEEE requirements and current exemptions.
- BOM scrubbing with correct MPNs and lifecycles.
- Understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Work within the parameters of PLM to coordinate component approval and EOL/Obsolete status.

- 3+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience

- 5+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience
