We’re currently looking for an Earthmover Product Manager on our OTR (Off the Road) team. This is a remote work-based position that must live in the territory.
The OTR Earthmover Product Manager (EPM), will perform sales and support of off-the-road tires to dealers and users in the assigned market. This individual will manage existing dealer and end-user accounts while actively pursuing new business.
** Our ideal candidate must reside in Texas or Oklahoma, preferably in the Dallas/Fort Worth area **
Responsibilities
The Earthmover Product Manager (EPM) work is focused on face-to-face selling of a variety of products, services and/or solutions to the end customer via intermediaries such as distributors and re-sellers (i.e., channels) including:
• Face-to-face selling to new channel partners/distributors and cross/up/repeat sales to existing channel partners/distributors in Texas and Oklahoma.
• Maintaining and expanding existing relationships with organizations distributing products, services and/or solutions
• Developing and delivering product demonstrations, sales bids and presentations to channel partners/distributors and may also train channel partner/distributor sales personnel in product use and sales techniques
• Managing the relationship with the channel partners/distributors.
• Incumbents are compensated based on achievement of sales targets.
Additional Tasks:
• Maintain proper tire forecasting for end-users
• Support Strategic Account Managers to drive sales within our National Account group
• Manage OTR National Accounts headquartered in territory not managed by a Strategic Account Manager
• Perform fleet surveys, site studies, GPS studies, and provide site recommendations
• Conduct out of service tire inspections
• Support OTR Mobility Solutions (telematics) initiatives
• Manage OTR tire pricing within authority level to promote success of the business unit budget
• Reviewing and reporting on customer retention, business opportunity and market trends
Physical Demands / Working Conditions:
• Work Environment & Travel: Ability to travel up to 75% with variable weekly schedules, work up to 12-hour days, and adapt to changing client site conditions, including weekends as needed; must be able to safely operate a full-size 4WD pickup truck and work independently in field environments.
• Physical & Functional Requirements: Ability to frequently lift and carry tools and equipment up to 10 lbs for extended periods, occasionally lift items up to 25 lbs, and rarely lift up to 50+ lbs; push/pull carts or equipment as needed. Must safely use manual and powered tools, wear required PPE, and perform hands-on tasks in industrial/mining environments, including standing, walking, and working in varying weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
• Typically requires a bachelor's degree with 4 years of commercial sales experience OR a minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
