PA's Energy & Utilities Market Analytics team helps clients navigate a rapidly evolving energy landscape through market forecasting, economic analysis, and data-driven decision making. Analysts work on projects that support utilities, investors, developers, regulators, and infrastructure owners as they evaluate opportunities and risks across the energy sector.

We're seeking individuals beginning their professional journey in consulting as either a recent college grad or by re-entering the workforce following continued education and development. We welcome students graduating in Fall/Winter 2026 or Spring 2027, as well as individuals who have developed relevant capabilities through apprenticeships, workforce development programs, military service, community leadership, or other non-traditional pathways.

Through mentorship, hands-on project work, formal development opportunities, and client engagements, you will build the skills needed for a successful consulting career.

As an Energy & Utilities Market Analyst at PA, you will:
  • Support electricity and natural gas market analysis and forecasting.
  • Perform quantitative, economic, and financial analysis using data and modeling tools.

Your background includes:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree expected by Fall/Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 in economics, finance, engineering, mathematics, statistics, data science, energy studies, or a related discipline. Non-traditional backgrounds and pathways welcome also.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, visualization tools, or quantitative analysis is a plus.


Additional Information

Hybrid working - our approach is to be in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week. However, the actual time you spend and where you spend it will vary by role or assignment, including up to 5 days per week on a client site

In compliance with Colorado's, New York's, Illinois's, & Massachusetts's Equal Pay Transparency Act, PA is required to provide a reasonable salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to Colorado and is commensurate with experience, market data, applicant skills, internal equity and/or degrees/certifications. Salary Range: $86,750 - $106,050.
