Job Description
Cape Fox Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for an
Employee Assistance Program Counselor (EAPC) to support the National Institute of Health.
The salary for this full time exempt position has been established at
$95,000.00. This salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Responsibilities:- Assists employees to clarify problems and establish an appropriate course of action.
- Provides crisis intervention and conflict mediation using strategies that minimize the disruption at, and reintroduce harmony to, the worksite.
- Provides referral to outside agencies for specialized treatment, long-term care, and hospitalization.
- Provides follow-up counseling to employees including those who have been referred to community resources.
- Monitors compliance with proposed treatment strategies by community mental health resources for employees participating in formal treatment agreements.
- Provides consultative services to supervisors, work groups, human resource management specialists, and Equal Employment Opportunity representatives.
- Consults with OMS clinicians, as appropriate.
- Provides supervisor training concerning services provided by the EAP and referral mechanisms.
- Provides educational and health promotion programs to increase employee awareness of the impact of psychosocial issues on employee performance and conduct.
- Designs and implements effective outreach programs and marketing strategies to insure employee awareness of EAP services.
- Serves as liaison between the workplace and referral resources and evaluates individuals and organizations as potential referral resources.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships both internally with employees, supervisors, and management and externally with other governmental and provider organizations to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of EAP and its services.
- Coordinates and serves on a variety of different task forces and committees at NIH to promote and improve NIH Safety and productivity.
- Supervises and provides in-service training and orientation for OMS staff.
- Supports the day-to-day functioning of the EAP office, helping ensure resources are effectively utilized to deliver high-quality clinical and administrative EAP services aligned with established priorities.
- Leads and EAP activities including providing overall direction for job tasks, projects, etc., related to EAP programming that promote and raise awareness of the availability and benefits of the EAP within the organization
- Provides guidance and to EAP staff, EAP affiliates, and EAP interns.
- Assists EH Program Manager and Federal EAP Manager with evaluating the effectiveness of the EAP and its services.
- Serves as Eagle Health Program Manager's POC on QA program requests.
- Supports federal EAP manager as needed in designing and administering instruments or methods to determine individual and organizational needs relative to EAP programming.
- Provides program manager with EAP statistical report on a quarterly basis. Also, provides program manager with weekly EAP statistics update.
- Designs and implements new EAP services to meet the individual and organizational needs; monitors utilization services.
- Partners with Federal EAP Manager as needed on outreach program
- Works collaboratively with different department personnel to develop access of care, standards & protocols of the EAP services.
- Provides support to Federal EAP Manager on the content and all the enquiries of the NIH EAP website.
- Serves as Eagle Health's EAP electronic record system SME in support of the Federal EAP Manager. Oversees EAP office coverage and staffing.
- Provides recommendations to management officials on workforce trends per their requests.
- With the Federal EAP Manager, coordinates responses to requests for critical incident services on and off-NIH campus in MD and MT.
- Sets standards and supports PM performance evaluations for EAP staff and EAP interns.
- Serve as the Eagle Health Subject Matter Expert on all social work and EAP initiatives including but not limited to proposal development and business development initiatives
- Contributes to the review of OMS Procedure Manual sections and assists in updating selected portions annually to support consistency and quality in EAP operations.

Job Requirements
- A Masters degree in social work, employee assistance, health administrative or related field desirable.
- Valid clinical license within the state of Maryland and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP)CPR certified by American Heart Association.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health or employee assistance setting, with demonstrated skills in counseling within a community-oriented or occupational health environment. Strong preference for experience working within NIH or a similar federal healthcare setting. Experience supporting program development, conducting problem analysis, participating in outreach efforts, and assisting with training program development and implementation.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. CPR certified by American Heart Association.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
