Description

Duties and Accountabilities:
• Pipeline and portfolio management and monitoring: (i) Monitor the regional lending pipeline and portfolio on a regular basis by collating and analyzing data; (ii) Prepare tables and regular operational updates on the status of the pipeline and portfolio; (iii) Contribute to active pipeline and portfolio monitoring, identifying risks and issues; (iv) Monitor and report on follow-up actions resulting from pipeline and portfolio reviews and discussions; (v) Serve as the regional focal points for Board date scheduling, in coordination with OPCS/SEC and internal teams (e.g. CMUs and GP staff) on scheduling/date changes; (vi) Maintain and Monitor Lending Projections (IDA, including IDA sub-windows, IBRD) by supporting the collection of data and coordinating with CMU focal points, OPCS and DFI; and (vii) Coordinate with operations analysts in partner units such OPCS, Regions, PGs, Verticals, and CMUs.
• Operational quality: (i) Assist in the review of corporate reports, operational products (PCNs, PADs, ICRs, ISRs for IPFs, DPFs and PforRs), country engagement products (CPFs, PLRs, CLRs, CENs) and various operational documents; (ii) Provide assistance to teams in a time sensitive and constructive manner in resolving operational issues (including related to the operations workspace); and (iii) Contribute to preparation of briefing notes, meeting minutes, talking points, and presentations as needed.
• Innovation and operationalizing AI in Operations: (i) Lead innovation including integration of AI tools into operations analysis, monitoring, workflow, and data visualization; (ii) Advance the effective use of AI tools across LCRDE's operational processes, including identifying opportunities to integrate AI-driven solutions into pipeline monitoring, data analytics, workflow optimization, and knowledge management, with the aim of improving efficiency, timeliness, and quality of operational outputs; (iii) Help shape the agenda for AI in Operations training, including identifying priority learning needs, practical use cases, and opportunities to strengthen adoption across regional operational teams; (iv) Support continued development and enhancement of the LCR MOU dashboard, ensuring it serves as a robust, user-friendly platform for tracking commitments, monitoring progress, and informing strategic decision-making; and (v) Collaborate with relevant teams to refine functionality, strengthen data integration, and promote adoption of the dashboard as a core regional management tool.
• Monitoring of implementation of strategies: (i) Assist in the design and monitoring of the LCR MOU; (ii) Prepare talking points, briefing notes, and background documents for the RVP and DSO in advance of the monthly Delivery Review Meetings (DRM) and regular MOU discussions with the MDO; (iii) Assist in tracking progress on outcome targets and LCR's other corporate strategic commitments such as climate change, gender, PCE/PCM, citizens' engagement, small states strategy, and FCV strategy; (iv) Track use of IDA including IDA Windows; and (v) Contribute to briefs for annual and spring meetings and other similar events.
• Operational Knowledge, Communication, and Partnerships: (ii) Support operational analytics in relation to partnerships with donors and other multilateral banks (e.g. co-financing and MOUs); (iii) Support operational analytics in relation to trust funds in LCR; (iv) Support the development and regular update of the LCR website; (v) Assist in the coordination of the LCR operational community of practice; and (vi) Support knowledge sharing as well as the development and delivery of operational training for regional staff.

Selection Criteria
• Master's level degree with a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge of World Bank operations, financing instruments, operational policies and procedures, project cycle, and accountability and decision making.
• Good understanding of Bank's corporate priorities and initiatives including, Jobs, Climate Change, Gender, FCV, and Maximizing Finance for Development.
• Superior ability to analyze data and use the Bank's data systems and tools including Standard Reports, PowerBI, Client Connection, and the Operations Workspace.
• Full proficiency and hands-on experience with analyzing large datasets and ability to work quickly in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, graphs, visuals) and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to apply AI tools effectively in analytical work, along with curiosity and initiative in exploring emerging AI capabilities.
• Apply AI and emerging technologies, including tools and languages such as React and Python, to support rapid prototyping, citizen development, and practical operational solutions, while embedding AI governance, responsible use, data integrity, and risk management considerations to ensure safe, ethical, and effective adoption of AI tools.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, uncompromising on data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, ability to translate technical content into plain language, and capacity to prepare reports and presentations using MS Word, PowerPoint, and AI tools.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake a diversity of tasks within a rapidly changing and demanding environment on short deadlines.
• Proven capacity to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients, demonstrating empathy, reliability, and a willingness to assist others, and contributing to a culture of trust, collegiality, and shared success.
