Full Job Description
The E-House Quotation Manager is accountable for leading the team that converts complex customer requirements into accurate, competitive, compliant, and executable E-house, Skids & Enclosure offers. This leader owns quotation performance, tender governance, risk mitigation, technical-commercial alignment, and people development for prefabricated electrical house, skids and enclosure opportunities. The role partners across Sales, Tendering, Engineering, Product Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Contracts, Legal, Finance, and Project Execution to win profitably and create a seamless transition from pursuit to execution.

What will you do?
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Quotation and Tender Technical Architect Team for E-house, Skids offers, including workload planning, capability building, escalation discipline, and performance management.
  • Own end-to-end bid quality from RFQ intake, scope interpretation, BOM/cost model development, schedule and capacity assumptions, risk review, offer/bid documentation, and executive approval packages.
  • Ensure technical-commercial integrity by aligning E-house layouts, integrated equipment scope, customer specifications, regulatory requirements, contractual terms, manufacturing feasibility, and project execution assumptions.
  • Drive profitable growth by improving win rate, cycle time, quality of offers, cost discipline, customer responsiveness, and tender-to-execution handoff quality.
  • Build scalable standard work including templates, costing tools, governance checklists, lessons learned, training plans, and performance dashboards for continuous improvement.
  • Establish a strategic business partnership model by aligning with Sales, Commercial & Tendering teams on future strategic customer opportunities and working with Procurement to expand the vendor pool, strengthen supplier relationships, and drive improvements in capacity, productivity, lead time, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team leadership and talent development
  • Lead, coach, and develop quotation specialists, estimators, and team leads supporting E-house, Skids & Enclosure opportunities.
  • Plan capacity, assign work, balance workloads, and define escalation paths for high-value, complex, strategic, or schedule-critical bids.
  • Build onboarding, technical training, career progression, succession plans, and competency matrices for E-house quotation capabilities.
  • Set clear goals and operating rhythms for quality, speed, responsiveness, cost discipline, collaboration, and accountability.

2. Quotation and tender operations
  • Manage RFQ intake, bid/no-bid readiness, pursuit prioritization, proposal schedules, customer clarification logs, and quotation governance.
  • Ensure timely delivery of complete, professional, and compliant customer proposals that reflect the defined scope, assumptions, exclusions, risks, and commercial terms.
  • Maintain standard templates, costing sheets, offer documentation, workflow discipline, and tender libraries to increase speed and consistency.
  • Use performance metrics to improve cycle time, quote quality, throughput, backlog health, rework, win rate, margin quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with suppliers to define scope, launch RFQs and evaluate RFPs

3. Technical-commercial E-house solution leadership
  • Interpret customer specifications for prefabricated electrical houses, skids , enclosures, and integrated electrical equipment packages.
  • Coordinate concept layouts, equipment integration, dimensions, clearances, environmental and hazard requirements, construction method, factory testing assumptions, shipping constraints, and site installation considerations.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to validate feasibility, standardization opportunities, configurable options, lead times, quality expectations, and execution risks before offer release.
  • Ensure proposals accurately reflect integrated scope across MV/LV equipment, switchgear, transformers, protection/control, automation, monitoring, HVAC, fire/safety, structural enclosure, testing, logistics, and services as applicable.

4. Risk, contract, compliance, and approval governance
  • Lead structured technical, commercial, contractual, schedule, compliance, legal, pricing, margin, and operational risk reviews for complex opportunities.
  • Prepare escalation packages for approvals, including risk matrix, scope summary, cost/margin position, assumptions, exceptions, and recommended decision path.
  • Ensure compliance with internal delegation of authority, quality and bid procedures, customer requirements, public funding or domestic content obligations, CUI/MIA controls where applicable, and relevant codes/standards.

5. Cross-functional collaboration and customer impact
  • Engage with procurement on supplier mapping & qualification, supplier relationship management & business reviews and establishing and continuously improving RFQ/RFP processes.
  • Serve as the operating bridge between Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Quality, and Project Management.
  • Support customer-facing technical and commercial discussions, scope clarifications, value engineering, alternatives, exception resolution, and competitive positioning.
  • Conduct market and competitor awareness to improve pursuit strategy, speed, differentiation, and proposal quality in E-house and prefabricated power solutions.
  • Own a disciplined handoff to execution teams so awarded projects transition with clear scope, assumptions, schedule commitments, risk register, pricing basis, and customer commitments.

6. Continuous improvement and operating excellence
  • Identify bottlenecks, rework drivers, quotation defects, proposal cycle-time gaps, and systemic execution handoff issues; implement corrective actions.
  • Develop standard work, dashboards, knowledge repositories, quote calculators, playbooks, lessons learned, and governance checklists.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, customer focus, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across the E-house quotation organization.

What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered for exceptional candidates.
  • Demonstrated leadership of people, projects, or programs in quotation, tendering, estimating, proposal management, project management, engineering, or manufacturing for complex electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong technical-commercial understanding of power distribution, switchgear, transformers, protection/control, automation, and integrated prefabricated/modular electrical solutions.
  • Experience interpreting RFQs, specifications, drawings, schedules, contractual terms, and customer requirements to build compliant and competitive offers.
  • Ability to manage risks, tradeoffs, escalations, and executive-level approvals across technical, contractual, commercial, schedule, compliance, and operational dimensions.
  • Excellent communication, executive presentation, stakeholder management, influencing, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including cost drivers, margin implications, capacity/schedule assumptions, and root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to travel as needed for customer, supplier and internal team meetings . Anticipated Travel : 10% - 20% of time

Preferred
  • Experience with E-houses, prefabricated electrical buildings, modular data centers, power distribution centers, enclosures, relay/control panels, microgrids, or complex MV/LV equipment packages.
  • Knowledge of applicable standards and practices such as NEC/NFPA, UL, IEEE/ANSI/NEMA, NETA, seismic/wind/environmental requirements, hazardous location approaches, and customer-specific compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/CRM, product configurators, costing tools, proposal automation, dashboarding, and document control systems.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, CPP/proposal certification, or formal continuous improvement training.
  • Experience supporting utility, data center, industrial, oil and gas, renewables, mining, wastewater, or large infrastructure customers.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 168,800 - USD 253,200 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
