Full Job Description
The E-Commerce Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth across assigned e-commerce channels by developing and executing account strategies that deliver revenue, market share, assortment, and sell-through objectives. The role serves as a key business leader and strategic customer contact, managing relationships, identifying growth opportunities, leading commercial initiatives, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver results. The position requires strong commercial judgment, financial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term execution.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account strategies that drive profitable revenue growth, market share, product assortment, and sell-through.
  • Own strategic customer relationships and lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, promotions, investments, programs, assortment, and inventory.
  • Identify and execute incremental growth opportunities across products, categories, marketing, merchandising, and new business.
  • Analyze financial performance, market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity to identify opportunities, risks, and actions.
  • Manage forecasts, sales plans, budgets, business cases, and ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Management, Product Planning, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and Supply Chain to develop and execute account strategies
  • Translate Sony's business and channel strategies into actionable customer plans that optimize assortment, inventory, digital merchandising, and sell-through.
  • Drive demand through e-commerce, digital marketing, merchandising, and promotional strategies.
  • Communicate account performance, opportunities, risks, and recommendations to management while supporting new business and growth initiatives.


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales, account management, e-commerce, consumer electronics, retail, or related experience. In lieu of degree must have 9 or more years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing strategic customer relationships and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong business, financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account plans and deliver results.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships at all customer levels.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce and digital retail.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer electronics, Sony products, and the competitive landscape, with the ability to apply market and product insights to account strategy.
  • Ability to translate data and insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Support additional strategic initiatives and business priorities as needed.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and results orientation
  • Ability to travel as the job requires approximately 25%
  • Qualified candidate should be geographically located in the San Diego, CA


Preferred Skills
  • Experience with e-commerce, digital retail, major online retailers, and/or retail media preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $92,862 to $123,816. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for a sales incentive plan. The specifics of the plan vary by role and can include elements related to both individual and company performance. In addition, this position is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.
