Full Job Description
Overview

As a Dynamics 365 CRM Solution Engineer, you will lead AI transformation engagements with deep CRM domain expertise. Your role involves owning the technical win strategy and supporting AI Business Process Sales Specialists (SSPs) by building strong relationships with C-Suite executives, Business Decision Makers (BDMs), and Technical Decision Makers (TDMs), including CIOs, CTOs, and IT leaders. You will help customers achieve their goals through technical guidance, solution roadmaps, and competitive positioning to secure technical decisions.

Your responsibilities include orchestrating and executing proof of concepts (POCs), envisioning workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and technical demonstrations that showcase the business value of Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Contact Center, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Copilot Studio, and AI Agent solutions. You will proactively collaborate with partners early in the sales cycle to accelerate customer success.

You will be part of a dedicated sales community supported by Account Teams, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Success organizations, enabling you to drive enterprise-wide adoption of Dynamics 365 solutions.

You will secure competitive wins against key competitors in the CRM and customer engagement space, including Salesforce, Oracle, IFS, ServiceNow, Avaya, and Amazon Connect. You will showcase Microsoft's unique differentiation and One Microsoft value proposition while supporting migration and modernization strategies and addressing technical blockers related to Copilot, AI Agents, compliance, privacy, and security.

As a Dynamics 365 CRM Solution Engineer, you will collaborate with Systems Integrator (SI) partners early in the sales cycle to scale technical engagements such as demonstrations, workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and POCs. You will be responsible for increasing Sales and Service business growth through pipeline generation, accelerated deal velocity, and competitive displacement by supporting SSPs in addressing technical proof and validation requirements.

Responsibilities

Own the technical win strategy for each opportunity. Engage with Business Decision Makers (BDMs) and Technical Decision Makers (TDMs) to understand business priorities and objectives, translating them into a compelling solution vision. Leverage deep expertise in Dynamics 365 Sales & Service applications including Sales, Customer Service, Contact Center, Field Service, Customer Insights, AI Agents, and Copilot Studio to address business challenges, demonstrate value, and secure technical decisions.

Lead customer envisioning workshops, whiteboard design sessions, and executive-level technical demonstrations across the Dynamics 365 portfolio, including Sales, Customer Service, Contact Center, Field Service, Customer Insights, Copilot Studio, and AI Agents, helping customers envision their future-state business processes.

Lead Proof of Concept (POC) engagements for high-priority scenarios by documenting outcomes, validating solution requirements, and defining implementation approaches. Translate findings into detailed technical close plans, including migration strategies to Dynamics 365, recommended migration tooling, key milestones, and risk mitigation strategies to support successful handoff to SI and implementation partners.

Demonstrate Microsoft's differentiated value in AI-powered CRM and business process solutions to secure technical wins against competitors such as Salesforce, Oracle, IFS, ServiceNow, and Amazon Connect. Anticipate and address technical blockers, including AI-related compliance, privacy, security, and governance concerns. Drive proof-based differentiation through architecture sessions, pilot deployments, and business value demonstrations that position Dynamics 365 as the preferred platform.

Leverage the Microsoft partner ecosystem to extend and scale solution delivery throughout the sales cycle. Collaborate with Systems Integrators (SIs), ISVs, FastTrack, and strategic partners to support complex demonstrations, POCs, solution design activities, and co-innovation engagements that strengthen customer outcomes and sales success.

Partner closely with the Customer Success Unit (CSU) and deployment teams to ensure customers realize measurable value from their Dynamics 365 investments. Establish deployment success plans that include agreed-upon business outcomes, adoption milestones, and success metrics. Drive early adoption of high-value consumption-based capabilities, including Copilot Studio and Dynamics 365 AI Agents, by capturing usage intent during the pre-sales process and incorporating it into the Technical Close Plan.

Maintain expert-level technical and sales proficiency through ongoing learning and professional development. Complete 100% of required training and certification requirements within established timelines. Achieve and maintain Level 200 proficiency in consultative selling methodologies and Level 400 expertise across core Dynamics 365 workloads, enabling effective engagement with both executive business stakeholders and technical audiences.

Share insights, best practices, and competitive learnings with the broader Solution Engineering community to accelerate field readiness, improve execution, and scale successful approaches across the organization.

Serve as a technical thought leader by delivering enablement content, conducting architecture deep dives, and contributing to readiness events such as Community Calls, Field Advisory Boards, and Solution Engineering forums. Provide guidance on identifying, developing, and winning Dynamics 365 opportunities while helping elevate the technical capabilities of peers and stakeholders.
