Overview

As Divisional Vice President of Global Logistics, you will shape how products move from suppliers to distribution centers, stores, and customers. You will set the strategy for domestic and international transportation, trade compliance, parcel delivery, and logistics operations. Your work will support revenue growth, manage costs, and improve the customer experience.

In partnership with Supply Chain leaders and teams across the co-op, you will prepare REI's logistics network for future growth and new ways of serving customers. You will lead a team responsible for moving millions of parcels, managing key carrier and third-party logistics relationships, and improving service across retail and direct-to-customer channels.

This role is open to remote candidates and requires infrequent travel.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Set and carry out REI's global logistics and transportation strategy, aligning network capabilities, capacity, service, and investments with business priorities.
  • Lead domestic and international transportation, parcel delivery, interfacility transfers, reverse logistics, trade compliance, and third-party logistics operations.
  • Improve delivery speed, reliability, customer choice, and cost to serve through clear measures, process improvements, and strong operating practices.
  • Manage logistics budgets, forecasts, carrier contracts, service agreements, and vendor performance while identifying sustainable cost efficiencies.
  • Reduce risk related to customs, tariffs, trade laws, safety requirements, port disruptions, and other factors that may affect product flow.
  • Build an inclusive, high-performing logistics team and partner across Supply Chain, Stores, Digital, Finance, Marketing, Technology, Sustainability, and Social Impact.

Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of domestic and international logistics experience, including operations, distribution, demand planning, international commerce, tax, or trade compliance.
  • At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in retail logistics, preferably within a large, multichannel organization.
  • At least 10 years of experience developing transportation and logistics network strategies, budgets, and capacity plans.
  • At least seven years of experience with logistics technology, systems, tools, analytics, implementation, and integration.
  • At least seven years of experience negotiating contracts and managing carriers, third-party logistics providers, and other strategic vendor relationships.
  • Deep knowledge of inbound and outbound logistics, multimodal freight, warehousing, cost reduction, customer delivery, and team development.

Preferred
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic data interchange, event management, order management, optimization tools, international trade, and unified commerce delivery is helpful.

Success in this role means REI has a scalable global logistics network that delivers products safely, reliably, and at the right cost. You will balance customer needs, financial goals, sustainability, compliance, and operational performance while preparing the co-op for continued growth.
