Job Description:

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Duck Creek Policy Architect to join our team supporting CoAction in Morristown, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Duck Creek Policy architecture, configuration, integration, and implementation within the P&C insurance domain.
The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, developers, QA teams, and project leadership to define scalable solutions and ensure successful delivery of Duck Creek Policy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the architecture and technical design of Duck Creek Policy solutions.
• Define solution architecture, technical approach, and implementation strategies for Duck Creek Policy projects.
• Work closely with business and functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on Duck Creek Policy configuration, customization, and extensions.
• Design and oversee integrations between Duck Creek Policy and external systems.
• Review technical designs, configurations, code, and implementation approaches to ensure adherence to standards.
• Identify opportunities to leverage out-of-the-box Duck Creek capabilities and minimize customizations where appropriate.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, developers, QA teams, and project managers throughout the SDLC.
• Provide technical leadership during implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
• Support performance, scalability, security, and maintainability considerations.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical walkthroughs, sprint planning, and solution discussions.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to development and configuration teams.
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience as a Duck Creek Policy Architect / Technical Architect.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Duck Creek Policy implementations and/or upgrades.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance and policy administration processes.
• Experience designing and implementing Duck Creek Policy solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Duck Creek Policy configuration and customization.
• Experience designing integrations between Duck Creek and downstream/upstream applications.
• Strong understanding of APIs, web services, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with application architecture, technical design, and solution documentation.
• Ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with large-scale Duck Creek Policy implementations.
• Experience with Duck Creek upgrades, migrations, or modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of Duck Creek's broader product ecosystem and integration capabilities.
• Experience with cloud-based implementations and modern integration architectures.
