OverviewEnsure consistent cleanliness standards, brand compliance, and guest satisfaction across multiple hotels by leading the Dual Executive Housekeeper, managing the housekeeping budget for multiple hotels, and setting the standards multiple hotels are expected to follow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set housekeeping cleanliness standards and inspection expectations, adjusted as needed to stay compliant with the hotel's individual brand requirements.
- Oversee pool operations and overnight floor care, where applicable.
- Lead, coach, and hold accountable the Executive Housekeeper. Approve hiring, discipline, and termination recommendations for the Housekeeping Managers and staff.
- Assist in developing and managing the housekeeping budget, and ensure the checkbook is maintained according to that budget.
- Review guest service scores and comments from hotels' survey systems. Identify gaps between the properties and direct corrective action.
- Compare labor cost, productivity, and turnover, and address any overall opportunities.
- Identify the need for and approve inventory, capital, and rehab recommendations submitted by the Dual Executive Housekeeper.
- Perform regular QA inspections and rotating walks to ensure overall compliance.
- Resolve escalated guest, staff, or vendor issues that the Executive Housekeeper cannot resolve on their own.
- Ensure hotels comply with OSHA requirements and brand-specific housekeeping SOPs.
- Represent housekeeping in Hotel Manager/AGM leadership discussions.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills- 7+ years management experience, including at least 3 years managing housekeeping across more than one department or property.
- Experience managing budgets and staff across more than one location or brand.
- Able to lead other leaders, not just line staff. Comfortable holding department heads accountable without doing the work for them.
- Able to resolve conflicts between hotels, brands, or leaders with competing priorities.
- Knowledge of hotel operations including budget forecasting, labor relations, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent housekeeping to hotel leadership and ownership.
