Inside the RoleThe Daimler Truck Remarketing (DTR) Pricing Strategy and Contract Analyst will be responsible for delivering used truck trade and residual valuations, as well as providing contracting support, to ensure that Daimler Truck Remarketing achieves and maintains its position as a world-class used truck business.
This role is dealer- and customer-facing and will require successful collaboration both within and outside of DTR, primarily with Acquisitions, Market Intelligence, and DTR Field Sales, as well as New Truck Sales, New Truck Pricing, Daimler Truck Financial Services (DTFS), dealers, and customers. The ideal candidate will bring a business mindset, strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills, and a culture-focused, inclusive approach.

Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000 - $121,000 USDPay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA- Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing strategies for the current and future product portfolio that drive inventory growth for DTR while mitigating financial risk.
- Market Research: Understand the competitive landscape and used truck pricing trends within the marketplace.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Develop and automate key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor quote performance and quote history by fleet, dealer, vehicle age, and truck specifications, while implementing tracking mechanisms for outstanding contracts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Acquisitions, Market Intelligence, and Inspection, as well as external stakeholders, including New Truck Pricing, New Truck Sales, DTFS, dealers, and customers.
- Continuous Improvement: Automate pricing files and develop dashboards that enhance transparency and support data-driven decision-making.
- Projects: Support DTR's digital transformation initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls through oversight and execution of pricing processes, quotation approvals, and contract administration.
Knowledge You Should Bring- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Marketing, or a related field and 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, competitive analysis, and pricing methodologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication style to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience developing pricing recommendations, market intelligence insights, business analysis, financial analysis, or similar commercial decision-support activities.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; experience utilizing data and reporting tools to support business decisions.
- Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience writing SQL queries and working with large datasets.
- Experience with Power BI, dashboard development, and process automation.
- Project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in pricing strategy, market intelligence, residual value analysis, asset valuation, commercial contracting, or dealership operations.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle, automotive, dealership, transportation, fleet, or related industries.
- Knowledge of Freightliner, Western Star, or other commercial vehicle products and specifications
