.NET Developer Job Summary We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise desktop applications used for vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and service operations. This role focuses on building and supporting Windows-based applications that communicate with vehicle Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and diagnostic hardware devices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in .NET desktop application development, hardware-software integration, Windows system troubleshooting, and SQL database technologies. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Windows-based applications using .NET technologies, including WPF and WinForms. • Develop and optimize software interfaces that communicate with vehicle diagnostic hardware and electronic control systems. • Ensure reliable connectivity, data transfer, and device recognition between software applications and external hardware devices. • Lead the development and maintenance of desktop applications that support dealer service operations, diagnostic processes, and software update management. • Design, build, and maintain MSI installation packages to support enterprise-wide software deployment and updates. • Manage application deployment processes across distributed environments with varying system configurations. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving: Windows operating systems Device drivers Hardware connectivity Software installation and deployment Application performance • Support integration between desktop applications, hardware devices, and backend systems. • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL databases, queries, stored procedures, and data management processes. • Support and maintain SSIS packages and data integration workflows. • Ensure accurate management and delivery of technical data, service information, and related application content. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, service teams, and IT departments to gather requirements and implement solutions. • Participate in application testing, debugging, code reviews, and production support activities. • Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and support materials. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on application reliability, usability, performance, and maintainability. Required Qualifications • Strong experience developing applications using Microsoft .NET technologies. • Experience building Windows desktop applications using: WPF WinForms • Experience integrating software applications with hardware devices and external systems. • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and desktop application architecture. • Experience creating and maintaining MSI installers and software deployment packages. • Experience troubleshooting Windows-based application, hardware, and driver-related issues. • Strong SQL development skills, including database design, query development, and performance optimization. • Experience working with SQL Server and data integration processes. • Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience within the automotive, automotive OEM, manufacturing, or vehicle diagnostics industry. • Experience working with Electronic Control Units (ECUs), diagnostic tools, or vehicle communication systems. • Familiarity with Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and automotive diagnostic processes. • Experience supporting enterprise desktop applications deployed across large user environments. • Knowledge of hardware communication protocols and device integration technologies. • Experience supporting software deployment and update management in distributed environments. • Understanding of application lifecycle management and software release processes.
