Position Description: CGI is seeking an enthusiastic and creative full stack .Net developer to join a high performing Agile team designing and building a modern, services based web application for a large government agency. Our team uses a contemporary technology stack built around .Net Core and C#, supported by modern tools, cloud ready architectures, and containerization technologies. In this role, you will help shape and build an enterprise application used across government agencies, states, and industry to support federal reporting requirements, data sharing, and visualization. You'll develop in demand skills while collaborating with an energetic, fast moving, and supportive team that delivers meaningful software to a highly engaged customer.
This position is located in our Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities: As a .Net Developer, you will bring creativity, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for solving design and architecture challenges while building high quality software. You will participate in all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle, including application design, development estimations, writing application code, participating in code reviews, and demonstrating software to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Author and review web application code using .Net Core and C#.
Participate in daily team discussions and collaborative coding sessions to support continuous progress.
Engage with clients, industry partners, and end users to provide technical insight and feedback.
Contribute to technical design sessions focused on building sustainable, high performing application features.
Provide accurate development estimates and help define timelines for feature delivery.
Support ongoing architectural enhancements and application modernization.
Collaborate closely with clients and end users to understand needs and discuss architectural or technical decisions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
A successful candidate will have a strong background in .Net development and full stack application experience. They should be familiar with RESTful web services, modern development practices, and Agile delivery methodologies. The ideal candidate can confidently structure application code following best practices and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Minimum 4+ years of experience in web application development.
Strong understanding of modern .Net Core and C# development practices.
Ability to work independently as well as contribute within a dynamic Agile team environment.
Experience with modern development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, DevOps pipelines, and containerization platforms.
Understanding of RESTful service development and integration.
Confident communication skills with team members and customers.
Ability to quickly research, learn, and apply emerging technologies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
A positive, collaborative attitude and desire to support the team in multiple ways.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $63,700.00 $156,700.00.
