Job DescriptionDosimetrist - Radiation at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.
Under the direction of the Department Manager and Physicist, the Dosimetrist routinely performs the treatment planning process, which includes treatment planning, design and dose calculations as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Assist the physicist in other related physics functions. Collaborates with Physicians and communicates all treatment parameters to the treatment team for the delivery of the radiation therapy treatment plan.
Required Qualifications:- Graduate of a University or Hospital based Medical Dosimetry program with a clinical and classroom curriculum of at least 9 months or more or Registered Radiation Therapist with on the job training in dosimetry under the supervision of a dosimetrist, medical physicist or radiation oncologist with an additional 1 year of practical, supervised experience in radiation therapy dosimetry.
- Upon hire: National Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
