Director of Nursing Position SummaryAs the DON at Decatur Wellness & Rehab, you'll be an essential part of our residents' care. Responsibilities include:
- Participate in management team meetings related to census, resident care plans, complaints, and concerns as well as QAPI and facility assessments.
- Evaluate work performance of all nursing personnel and discipline according to operational policies.
- Oversees nursing schedules, participates in recruitment, hiring and termination of nursing personnel, and monitors the infection control program.
- Ensure resident incidents and concerns that rise to a reportable event are reported to the correct entity within the state regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
Director of Nursing Requirements- Current unrestricted RN license for the state of Tennessee
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home or other related healthcare facility
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices as well as long-term care regulations
