Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Document Control Analyst Manager 2 to our Engineering Services team.

Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager, the Document Control Analyst Manager 2 will lead document control activities and oversee the management of engineering documentation, engineering change processes, and configuration control systems. This role provides leadership to document control personnel while partnering with engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality, and program management teams to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of product documentation throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong document control expertise, process improvement capabilities, and leadership skills to support operational excellence and customer requirements.

What a Typical Day Looks Like
  • Lead and manage document control operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of engineering change orders (ECOs), bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, specifications, and customer documentation.
  • Oversee document control analysts and coordinate cross-functional activities with engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality, and program management teams to ensure product changes are properly documented and implemented.
  • Establish and maintain document control procedures, configuration management practices, document retention standards, and compliance requirements to support business and customer needs.
  • Monitor document control metrics, process performance, audit readiness, and data accuracy, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Guide system enhancements, process optimization projects, and training initiatives related to document management systems, engineering documentation, and change control processes.

The Experience We're Looking to Add to the Team
  • Strong knowledge of document control systems, engineering change management, configuration management, and product lifecycle documentation processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in document control, engineering services, manufacturing support, quality systems, or related disciplines, including experience leading projects or teams.
  • Experience managing ECOs, BOMs, product configurations, technical drawings, specifications, and controlled documentation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, document management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and drive process compliance.
  • Experience supporting regulated industries, quality management systems, or customer audit requirements is preferred.
