OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The DNS / DHCP Administrator provides implementation, management and maintenance services to ensure we manage the assets, access and operations support the customer’s global mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.
Responsibilities:
- In this role you will update, manage and maintain the Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers for over 50K users in both on-premise and cloud systems in accordance with customer policies and regulations.
- You will coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all DNS implementations conform to and integrate with DoS requirements and infrastructure.
- Additionally, you will manage DHCP scopes and leases to ensure reliable network connectivity for the customer.
- You will also develop and maintain DNS/DHCP administration SOPs for the customer IT service delivery processes aligned Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and DoS standards.
- Update SOPs to reflect modernization initiatives and emerging technologies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 5+ years
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Comp TIA Sec+, ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:
