Full Job Description
The right candidate for this position is someone with extensive experience in Safety who will support our projects. This person will constantly be responsible for successfully integrating safety initiatives into the functional operation of the different projects by maintaining processes and procedures to prevent injuries and violations of the law or company policies and minimize the environmental impact of our operations. About the role As the Division Manager, you will oversee and direct all project and field-related activities within your division or geographical location. Your responsibilities will include prospect development, project execution, change management, and field activities. You will also provide guidance, coaching, and support to our Estimating, Project Management, and General Superintendent teams to achieve both divisional and company-wide goals. Key Responsibilities: • Business Development: Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to identify and develop new business prospects. • Market Insight: Leverage your understanding of local and regional markets to drive project success. • Client Retention: Foster strong client relationships through exceptional customer service and project execution. • Project Oversight: Lead the project management team in detailing, fabrication, and field execution. • Resource Management: Ensure the local fabrication shop and field erection teams have the necessary resources. • Performance Monitoring: Track project and operational performance, developing action plans as needed. • Team Leadership: Manage all aspects of the Project Management and Field Erection teams, including hiring, training, and professional development. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • Experience: 15+ years in operational or project execution roles within the commercial steel industry, with at least 10 years in a leadership position. • Skills: Strong understanding of project execution, change management, and customer service in the construction industry. Experience with P&L management and basic finance principles.
