Grande Prairie Division is currently recruiting for a
Controller.Reporting to the General Manager, the Controller is a critical part of the Mill Management Team.
You'll Do:- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of monthly and quarterly financial close & analysis for both financial and non-financial metrics including monthly & quarterly reconciliations.
- Responsible for the completion of mill financial forecasts (monthly, quarterly reforecasts and annual plans)
- Provide weekly cost reporting to support Mill Margin Improvement Initiatives
- Support Capital Projects through cost tracking and analysis vs budget
- Oversee inventory control and analysis
- Ad hoc analysis as requested by Mill Management and Corporate Finance
- Working with the Mill GM to ensure compliance with current internal controls
- Support SOX & internal control testing as required
- Support the site procurement through purchase order effectiveness to meet spend forecasting & control, vendor queries and issue resolution
You have:- Ideal candidate will have 4-year degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation or working towards one is preferred
- 3+ years of related work experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Detail oriented with unrelenting accuracy and ability to prioritize critical tasks to meet various deadlines
- A 'self-starter' driven for results, possessing ability to work independently and forge relationships at all levels in the organization
- Experience with Oracle & JD Edwards financial systems is preferred, but must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Sarbanes Oxley controls experience is considered a key asset

Your Workplace Location: West Fraser Grande Prairie Division is located about 10 minutes south of the city.
Although our facility operates 24 / 7 / 365, this position has a schedule that is primarily Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly working in an office environment.
