Division Controller
What You'll Do- Manage and develop a team responsible for operational accounting activities.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities and reporting deadlines.
- Analyze financial results using historical trends, forecasts, and budget expectations.
- Identify business trends and provide actionable recommendations to Operations and Finance leadership.
- Partner closely with Operations leaders to support decision-making and improve financial performance.
- Manage and develop a team responsible for operational accounting activities.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities and reporting deadlines.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management activities.
- Develop and improve accounting controls, reporting processes, and operational metrics.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reports.
- Assist with store-level performance initiatives, cost savings opportunities, and KPI reporting.
- Develop a thorough understanding of POS systems and operational reporting to support business objectives.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, FP&A, or operational finance experience.
- Prior leadership experience managing or developing accounting or finance professionals.
- Strong financial analysis and business partnership skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Experience supporting operational leaders and influencing business decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in restaurant, franchise, retail, hospitality, or other multi-unit environments preferred.
- Ability to build relationships, establish credibility, and effectively partner with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
