Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven District Sales Manager to lead sales operations within an assigned geographic territory. This leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing high-performing sales professionals, strengthening customer relationships, and executing strategic sales initiatives that support the company's long-term objectives.

The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with exceptional coaching skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to inspire a team while consistently delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead all sales operations within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Identify opportunities to increase market share and expand business with existing and prospective customers.
  • Ensure company sales processes, standards, and best practices are consistently followed.


Sales Performance Management
  • Establish quarterly sales goals for each Sales Representative.
  • Monitor sales performance and pipeline activity.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement action plans to achieve or exceed objectives.
  • Prepare and present weekly sales reports highlighting regional performance, opportunities, and challenges.


Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and develop Sales Representatives.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and establish measurable performance expectations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.


Customer & Business Development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, key accounts, manufacturer partners, and distribution partners.
  • Strengthen customer loyalty through exceptional service and consultative selling.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and develop strategies to increase market penetration.


Market Intelligence
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer preferences.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership regarding market opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Utilize market data to support strategic business decisions.


Operational Excellence
  • Ensure all Sales Representatives submit timely weekly call reports.
  • Review and submit monthly sales commission reports by the 5th of each month.
  • Maintain accurate sales vehicle records for company vehicles assigned within the territory.
  • Support regional budgeting initiatives while maximizing sales productivity and profitability.


Continuous Improvement
  • Resolve customer concerns and operational challenges promptly.
  • Recommend improvements to sales processes, customer engagement, and overall team effectiveness.
  • Promote operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.


Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
  • Two (2) or more years of progressive sales leadership experience.
  • Proven success leading regional or district sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales professionals.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
